I suggest we discuss the status of [Update ITK to include regression fix related to DICOM spacing · Issue #7937 · Slicer/Slicer · GitHub](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/issues/7937) 🙏

I would like to discuss about the possibility to release the SlicerSOFA project as an extension and some of the activities we are preparing around that project.

### Meeting Notes

#### Support of NM DICOM with negative spacing

There is an ongoing discussion regarding the handling of negative spacing in Nuclear Medicine (NM) DICOM images, particularly for Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT). A key question is whether the GDCM library should check for SPECT modality and allow negative spacing values.

**Short-term plan:**

- Provide a detailed summary of the current challenges and ongoing discussions.
- Develop a Slicer-specific solution to address the regression before the upcoming Slicer release.

**Related issues:**

- [ITK Issue #4794](https://github.com/InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITK/issues/4794)
- [ITK PR #4521](https://github.com/InsightSoftwareConsortium/ITK/pull/4521)

#### Telemetry

There are updates related to the Telemetry Extension, including a pull request for the `Slicer/slicer-usage-stats` repository.

Additional work is needed to submit a PR to the `Slicer/SlicerTelemetry` repository.
