I hope there will be time to discuss Terminologies improvements, @muratmaga is joining as well. It would be great to agree on how to add creating custom terminology (see [here](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/issues/6975#issuecomment-2402467988)).

#### Slicer & Trame

- **Trame Integration:**
  - Discussed the integration of [trame](https://kitware.github.io/trame/) with Slicer to support backend GPU rendering.

  - Render window content is converted into a compressed JPEG image, which is transmitted to the front end as a web application.

  - Transitioning to in-render window widgets would minimize dependencies on Qt.

  - Refactoring will be required to enable segmentation editor effects to function independently from Qt.

  - Progress related to Slicer refactoring is ongoing; see [Commits · AlexyPellegrini/Slicer · GitHub](https://github.com/AlexyPellegrini/Slicer/commits/slicer-as-a-lib)

  - On-going development of trame-based Slicer should be released open-source in the first quarter of 2025. For questions, reach out to @finetjul, @Thibault_Pelletier and @jcfr

#### Telemetry

- **Submitted Pull Requests:**
  - A pull request has been submitted for the [SlicerTelemetry repository](https://github.com/Slicer/SlicerTelemetry/pull/1).
  - Another pull request was submitted for the [slicer-usage-stats repository](https://github.com/Slicer/slicer-usage-stats/pull/1).
  - Both PRs are under review.

#### Slicer 5.8 Release

- The release status of version 5.8 will be discussed in the upcoming meeting on October 22nd.

Very nice looking app! Markups are in there, looks very promising.

Integrating Slicer with Trame would allow to create custom looking web app that is designed for the tasks without any excessive functionality.

Thank you for the information and efforts, look forward to progress on this!
