I’d like to discuss going straight from dicom images and segmentations directly to training monai models that can easily be deployed to make new segmentaions.

### Meeting Notes

#### SlicerSOFA Integration

- @pieper shared experiments on integrating PyVista with SOFA.
  - The Slicer-SOFA environment now enables running SofaPython3 scripts seamlessly.
  - @RafaelPalomar suggested that automating the redirection of rendering to MRML/VTK objects would be beneficial.
  - @RafaelPalomar also noted that it would be useful if input could be sourced directly from MRML/VTK objects, rather than relying on SOFA VTK loaders.

- @RafaelPalomar will attend SOFA Week 2024, including the SOFA Technical Committee meeting (details: [SOFA Week 2024](https://www.sofa-framework.org/sofa-events/sofa-week-2024/)).
  - This will be an opportunity to discuss potential synergies between Slicer and SOFA. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

#### BoneReconstructionPlanner

- @mau_igna_06 presented updates on simplifying the user interface (UI).

#### Slicer Icon Update

- Following the release of Slicer 5.8, we will begin transitioning to a new set of icons.

#### NM DICOM with Negative Spacing

- In follow-up to discussions from [2024-09-24 Weekly Meeting](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/2024-09-24-weekly-meeting/38505/4), the issue with NM DICOM negative spacing has been resolved in Slicer through [PR #7987](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/pull/7987).
