#### Slicer 5.8 Release

- Discussed updating Slicer from version 3.9 to 3.10. For more details, see [GitHub Issue #7060](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/issues/7060).
- Highlighted the documentation on free threading support available at [py-free-threading.github.io](https://py-free-threading.github.io/).

#### Slicer & Trame Integration

- @keri expressed interest in contributing to the Slicer & Trame integration.
- Suggested following up on the post at [Discourse: Slicer & Trame Discussion](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/2024-10-15-weekly-meeting/39707/4#p-118449-slicer-trame-3).
- Discussed potential for using Slicer in geosciences. Recommended engaging with @fbordignon, who originally posted about [GeoSlicer Open-Source Release](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/geoslicer-open-source-release/37157).

#### Terra & IDC Collaboration

- Discussed using **Terra** ([terra.bio](https://terra.bio)) to provision ~20,000 instances over ~9 hours for AI-based segmentation tasks. Relevant publication: [Cloud-based large-scale curation of medical imaging data using AI segmentation](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38746269/).
  - Proposed running similar experiments on **Jetstream2** for SlicerMorphCloud.
  - Explored the possibility of the IDC team assisting Terra in leveraging Jetstream2 for future efforts.
