I would like to discuss the Slicer GitHub organization housing the [`light-the-torch`](https://github.com/pmeier/light-the-torch) repository to facilitate continued maintenance and support by the Slicer community. This python package is utilized by the [SlicerPyTorch](https://github.com/fepegar/SlicerPyTorch) extension which is currently used by 14 Slicer extensions and growing. The original author of `light-the-torch` has acknowledged that the python package has become a bit of a burden and that he is no longer an active user of the python package. He is willing to transfer the repository to the Slicer community so that Slicer developers can lead the maintenance for the project. #### SlicerSOFA

- **Pull Request Integrated** : [PR #28](https://github.com/Slicer/SlicerSOFA/pull/28) (`Consolidate build system changes`) has been successfully integrated.

#### `light-the-torch`

- **Future Maintenance** : Discussed the future maintenance of the `light-the-torch` project. Thanks @jamesobutler for spearheading this initiative. For more details, see [Issue #152](https://github.com/pmeier/light-the-torch/issues/152).

#### Training Portal

- **Training Page Update** : Reviewed updates to the training page. See the related discussion: [PR #7910](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/pull/7910#issuecomment-2542573233).

#### Slicer 5.8 Release

- **Target Release Date** : Week of December 23rd.
- **Pending Issues** : @jcfr and @lassoan will collaborate to address remaining issues before the release.

#### Document & Knowledge Base

- **Slicer on GuruBase** : Discussed adding Slicer to [GuruBase](https://gurubase.io/). Thanks to @Thibault_Pelletier for the suggestion.

#### Dynamic Modeler

- **Extrude Tool** : Discussed integrating the Extrude tool into Dynamic Modeler. See related discussion: [PR #65](https://github.com/Slicer/SlicerSurfaceToolbox/pull/65#issuecomment-2555766502).
- **Geogram Library** : Reviewed progress on integrating Geogram as a library for mesh operations. Initial work by @mau_igna_06 is underway.
- **Revolve Tool** : Added a Revolve tool to Dynamic Modeler. See details: [PR #66](https://github.com/Slicer/SlicerSurfaceToolbox/pull/66).

#### Volume Resampler Registration API

- **Reference** : [PR #8103](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/pull/8103).
- Discussed the possibility of moving some components from **Markups** to `Slicer/Lib/MRML/Core`.

#### Refactor Slice View Annotations Infrastructure

- **Context** : [Slicer Issue #7184](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/issues/7184).
- **IHE Radiology Framework Reference** : [IHE Radiology Technical Framework, Volume 2](https://www.ihe.net/uploadedFiles/Documents/Radiology/IHE_RAD_TF_Vol2.pdf).
- **HTML Overlay Mechanism** : Proposed adding a mechanism to render HTML on top of the VTK renderer by registering an “HTML” renderer through a plugin system.
