Hi,

Currently attending SciPy 2018 conference in Austin, earlier today I was planning on giving the following lightening talk to:

- introduce the 3D Slicer ecosystem, application and community to the broader Scientific Python community.
- describe the python and Jupyter integration already described in [Jupyter notebooks are now usable in 3D Slicer](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/jupyter-notebooks-are-now-usable-in-3d-slicer/3438)

I also had the chance to discuss with the lead developer of [Xeus](https://github.com/QuantStack/xeus) and he provided with some advice on how to improve our Jupyter integration.

For reference, Xeus is the C++ implementation of the Jupyter kernel protocol we leverage in [SlicerJupyter](https://github.com/Slicer/SlicerJupyter) extension.

(For the background story, the lightning talk session started few minutes late and I didn’t have a chance to get on the stage … It was very close, the presenter before me on the list made it)
