# Align two volumes

I have taken 18 tomographic slices of a human tibia in two stages of 9 slices each, and the two resulting volumes are not aligned. My specific question is, what is the best method to align the two volumes?

You can align images using registration. [This page](https://slicer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/registration.html) should help you getting started.
