# Convert STL mesh file to a solid with a really smooth surface

I need to convert an stl file (scan of a hand) from mesh (over 10000 triangles) to a solid body with very smooth surface that’s not triangulated. Please help.

Try the Surface Toolbox module, particularly the mesh optimization tool.
