# Could not load 308: 3D THORACIC SPINE as Scalar Volume

Trying to load a CT and getting the Scalar Volume error. Could this be as simple as the colon in the series name?

Please try with latest Slicer Preview Release. If there are still issues then follow [these instructions](https://www.slicer.org/wiki/Documentation/Nightly/FAQ/DICOM#When_I_click_on_.22Load_selection_to_slicer.22_I_get_an_error_message_.22Could_not_load_..._as_a_scalar_volume.22).
