# .dcm to .obj conversion - data import

Unable to import .dcm data in the software. wanted some tutorial regarding the same. Also, which version of the slicer to be downloaded.

Start with using the latest Slicer Stable Release and follow [these instructions](https://slicer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/modules/dicom.html#troubleshooting) if you run into any issues.
