# Image appears white in 3D view

Hello,

I am having trouble with visualizing 2D images in the 3D view (please see image below). The image always shows up as a white square in the 3d view.

I tried to resolve this issue by following the solution [here](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/volume-rendering-does-not-appear-in-3d-view/743/7). However, slicer(version 4.8.0) crashes when I click on the eye icon next to volume.

Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Try upgrading to a more recent version of Slicer, the current stable version is 4.10.1.
