# Is MONAI Auto3DSeg Whole body segmentation model based on SegResNet?

Dear all,

just a quick question: is the Whole body segmentation TS1 (v1.0.0) model based on the SegResNet architecture? Is there a paper describing this model? Thank you in advance.

Hi @samuelholly,

That’s correct. The Whole body segmentation TS1 (v1.0.0) model is based on the SegResNet architecture. This network architecture was first presented here: [_3D MRI brain tumor segmentation using autoencoder regularization_](https://arxiv.org/pdf/1810.11654)
