# Organization of Segment Editor effects into Categories

@Umesh_Persad did prototype a ribbon based interface. Ribbon based interface essentially uses a QTabWidget.

As it relates to this topic of organizing segment editor effects into categories, do you think that is helpful for improving understanding about the type of effects? Is the increase in number of rows for each category a deal breaker for you because the effect options for say the “Manual” category of effects are now farther away than they are currently?
