# Problem with importing files

Hi,
I am a beginner and I am trying to do the segmentation of femur. While using the software I am facing couple of problems.
1. Whenever I try to import a new data I am getting distorted slices
2. Whenever I try to import a saved file, all the slices are either missing or distorted.
Please help.

Please try loading the data with DICOM module in latest Slicer Preview Release and if you still have issues then follow [these instructions](https://slicer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/modules/dicom.html#something-is-displayed-but-it-is-not-what-i-expected).

No problem, if you follow the instructions above then it is guaranteed that your data will load correctly (follow the instructions all the way through - including sending us an anonymized data set if previous steps do not lead to success).
