# Release of Slicer 5.2 in progress

This evening, regular preview and stable builds of Slicer and associated extensions will be disabled in favor of a new stable release.

Updates:

- All Slicer 5.2 packages along with extensions have been generated ✅
- Regular preview and stable builds have been resumed ✅

Notes

- Packages are being signed and will soon be available for download ⌛
- Display of `None` on the [https://download.slicer.org](https://download.slicer.org) is a known issue \[1\]
- Issue related to display of macOS download statistics is also a known issue \[2\]

This evening, regular preview and stable builds of Slicer and associated extensions will be disabled in favor of a **patch** release.

Fixes to be integrated are listed in the [Slicer 5.2.1](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/milestone/7?closed=1) milestone.

- All Slicer `5.2.1` packages along with extensions have been generated. ✅

Notes:

- Packages are being signed and will soon be available for download. ⌛

- We are in the process of finalizing the announcements. 🚀
- New feature for notifying users when a new Stable release is available is working as expected, see details below.
