# Release of Slicer 5.6.2 in progress

As discussed during April 2nd weekly meeting\[1\], this evening (April 4th), regular `Preview` and `Stable` builds of Slicer and associated extensions will be disabled in favor of a **patch** release.
Fixes to be integrated are associated with the the [Slicer 5.6.2](https://github.com/Slicer/Slicer/milestone/11) milestone.

## Update
- Slicer 5.6.2 have been generated and are being signed. This will be finalized shortly.
- Regular builds are resumed and expected to be published tomorrow
