# Request for Assistance: Fixing Paint Tool Size Independently of Zoom

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the Paint tool in Slicer where the tool size changes along with the zoom level when using `Ctrl + mouse wheel` to adjust the `slice view`. I would like to keep the Paint tool size fixed and independent of the zoom level to maintain a consistent size.

Here are the details of the issue:

- **Operating system:** Windows 11
- **Slicer version:** [Your Slicer Version, e.g., 5.6.2]

**Expected behavior:** The Paint tool size should remain fixed and not change with the zoom level in the slice view.

**Actual behavior:** The Paint tool size changes dynamically with the zoom level when using `Ctrl + mouse wheel` to adjust the slice view.

Despite trying various approaches, I have been unable to find a solution. I am reaching out to see if anyone can assist with the following:

1. **Is there a setting or feature available in Slicer that allows the Paint tool size to be fixed independently of the zoom level?**
2. **Are there any plugins or additional tools that can help with this issue?**
3. **Are there any updates or solutions related to the version of Slicer I am using?**

I have reviewed Slicer’s official documentation and wiki, but I was unable to find a direct solution to this issue. Any advice or insights from your experience would be greatly appreciated.

In that version you can click the `%` button to toggle.

In newer versions there’s a more explicit `absolute` button.
