# Unexpected error forces Slicer to shut-down

This was solved by a recent fix to one of Slicer’s dependencies as detailed in the linked thread. If you are working with a large data set, please try a Slicer preview release ([https://download.slicer.org/](https://download.slicer.org/)) to see if this solves your problem.
