# Using Cloud to run 3D Slicer

Hello,
I do not have enough space in my laptop to run 3D Slicer.
Could you please give me a step by step procedure on how to download and run 3D Slice using AWS Cloud service?

AWS offers several ways of getting a windows desktop that you can access remotely. This is probably the easiest for most people. You can just install the regular Slicer installer.

Unless you are very proficient with aws I would avoid using it with Linux for this purpose. They have windows tha are sort of easy, but there’s a lot to sort out. If you want easyish cloud linux with GPU, vast.ai’s desktop containers are good. There’s not slicer-specific documentation bu ttheir generiic documentation is very good and they are cheap (note that they are not HIPAA-grade, so avoid putting PHI on vast.ai).
