# Volume rendering shows a solid box

Once your segmentation is completed, the easiest way to export a surface mesh file is to use [_Export to files_ function](https://discourse.slicer.org/t/save-segmentation-directly-to-stl-or-obj-files/2428) in Segment Editor module.
