# Why launch models, the software automately switch model to "Welcome"

Slicer automatically switches to the “Home” module on startup, which by default is the “Welcome” module. If you prefer not to see the application logs then you can hide it by redirecting the standard output to /dev/null by appending this to the command: `> /dev/null`
