Meeting Notes

Funding Sources & Industry Collaboration

• Discussed strategies to pool resources from multiple companies to support the development of shared features.

• Taeyoung Park (KIST / TruAbutment) expressed interest in contributing to Issue #7179: Built-in support for Curved Planar Reformation (CPR).

  • Will begin by working independently during Project Week.

• Proposed updating the Acknowledgments page to highlight contributions from commercial partners.

SlicerSOFA Integration Improvements

• Discussed approaches to simplify SOFA integration without relying on environment variables.
• Ideally, methods should exist to programmatically add plugin discovery paths, improving usability and integration flexibility.

Understanding Company Needs

• Proposed organizing a call, meeting, or event to engage companies and learn which features they need.

  • Important to define a clear marketing narrative to attract participation.

• Discussed developing a “feature menu” (linked from the Slicer Roadmap) to help guide prospective collaborators and sponsors.

Installing Slicer on macOS
