Slicer Preview – Build Error with Extension

  • The following error has been addressed:

    gmake[5]: *** read jobs pipe: Bad file descriptor.  Stop..

  • Fixes applied:

    • Updated the build environment to use the latest version of GNU Make.
    • Updated the extension external project to specify the BUILD_JOB_SERVER_AWARE option (introduced in CMake 3.28).

Machine Learning Workflow

  • @pieper discussed the lymph node quantification (LNQ) and segmentation project leveraging nUNet.

  • Proposal: create a new extension (potential names):

    • SegmentationTrainingOrganizer
    • LNQTrainingStudio
    • AITrainingStudio
    • Slicer[AI]TrainingStudio

  • Tools & frameworks mentioned:

    • SynthSeg: deep learning tool for segmentation of brain scans of any contrast/resolution.
    • DVC: option for organizing data and model version(s).
