I’d like to know what is the cause of the apparent artifact on the skin seen on the sagittal view of the picture below (circled by the CC curve)

That happens when the patient is breathing during the scan (while the table moves through the scan plane). Usually the tech tells the patient to hold their breath, but some people are nervous and hyperventilate a bit.
