The download link at the main page of 3D slicer seems not work. I tried it on different computers and internet environment. Where and how could I download it?
Operating system: Linux
Thanks for reporting this - it’s been reported to the sysadmins.
The download page is available now.
Yes, it works. Thanks!
I have the same problem now.
Until the download page becomes available again, you can use the direct download links on https://www.slicer.org/ (in the red “Notice” box).
Hi everybody. The download site seems to be down again. I hope you can fix it soon, since I would like to try your software.
I tried to get the nightly version for linux, but I don’t see any download boxes, as in the Mac version…
Anyway, this is the error I get:
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /.Reason: Error reading from remote server
Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at download.slicer.org Port 80
Thanks

I hope your software is as good as the forums, hehe
Have a nice day ;^)

Note that since an error preventing the linux build from completing was just fixed, the latest linux installed from is only from Feb 8th.
The download.slicer.org site is back again. I haven’t heard why it was down or plans to make it more stable.
Still down… Can anybody please see if it can be restored? Are there ways to improve its stability? It’s embarrassing that a simple semi-static page is so often inaccessible.
He was out last week, but @mhalle tells me he has a plan to move this to new infrastructure.
@lassoan FYI it’s up again.
