Manual Brain Tumor Segmentation – Dice Score 1.0 – Study Kit for Learners (3D Slicer Project Included)

Hi everyone,

I recently completed a manual segmentation of a brain tumor from the BraTS dataset using 3D Slicer (12+ hours of refinement and validation). I used:
• Thresholding
• Level tracing
• Smoothing (to anatomical boundaries)
• Manual correction with Segment Editor
• Segment Comparison for validation

:brain: The result achieved a Dice score of 1.0 — perfect overlap with the ground truth.
:package: I’ve packaged everything into a self-contained “Brain Tumor Segmentation Study Kit” for learners:

What’s inside:
:white_check_mark: .nii and .seg.nrrd files
:white_check_mark: Full .mrml 3D Slicer scene
:white_check_mark: Screenshot of segmentation
:white_check_mark: Evaluation metrics (Dice = 1.0, 0% FP/FN)
:white_check_mark: BONUS: Editable segmentation template for personal projects

:bullseye: Ideal for:
• Students learning segmentation
• Medical AI beginners
• Research training
• Teaching assistants/professors

Would love to hear feedback — and happy to answer any questions about the process, tools, or setup.

Thanks!
