At Kitware, we would like to support the ability to package and distribute any VTK based modules on PyPI (Python Package Index).

Liking that post will help Kitware prioritize enhancement of VTK so that VTK-based algorithms can be easily installed using pip (via the Python Package Index). This would help us both with Slicer packaging and distributing parts of Slicer as pip-installable packages.
