Meeting Notes

Support of NM DICOM with negative spacing

There is an ongoing discussion regarding the handling of negative spacing in Nuclear Medicine (NM) DICOM images, particularly for Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT). A key question is whether the GDCM library should check for SPECT modality and allow negative spacing values.

Short-term plan:

  • Provide a detailed summary of the current challenges and ongoing discussions.
  • Develop a Slicer-specific solution to address the regression before the upcoming Slicer release.

Telemetry

There are updates related to the Telemetry Extension, including a pull request for the Slicer/slicer-usage-stats repository.

Additional work is needed to submit a PR to the Slicer/SlicerTelemetry repository.
