Iā€™d like to discuss going straight from dicom images and segmentations directly to training monai models that can easily be deployed to make new segmentaions.

Meeting Notes

SlicerSOFA Integration

  • @pieper shared experiments on integrating PyVista with SOFA.
    • The Slicer-SOFA environment now enables running SofaPython3 scripts seamlessly.
    • @RafaelPalomar suggested that automating the redirection of rendering to MRML/VTK objects would be beneficial.
    • @RafaelPalomar also noted that it would be useful if input could be sourced directly from MRML/VTK objects, rather than relying on SOFA VTK loaders.
  • @RafaelPalomar will attend SOFA Week 2024, including the SOFA Technical Committee meeting (details: SOFA Week 2024).
    • This will be an opportunity to discuss potential synergies between Slicer and SOFA. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

  • @mau_igna_06 presented updates on simplifying the user interface (UI).

Slicer Icon Update

  • Following the release of Slicer 5.8, we will begin transitioning to a new set of icons.
