The python console interactive font size and colour are truly hurting my eyes. attached is the screenshot? How can I adjust this?

Go to Edit->Application Settings. There is a setting for the font in the python console.
In the “Appearance” section of settings there is also an option for style including “Dark Slicer” if the light theme is also too bright for your eyes.
