Have been trying for 2 days to download slicer and the download server is down. This is the link on the web site: http://download.slicer.org/ Please let me know when it is back up.

Fixed. The server it was running on rebooted, causing some restart issues.

Until the download page becomes available again, you can use the direct download links on https://www.slicer.org/ (in the red “Notice” box).

Hi everybody. The download site seems to be down again. I hope you can fix it soon, since I would like to try your software. I tried to get the nightly version for linux, but I don’t see any download boxes, as in the Mac version… Anyway, this is the error I get: Proxy Error The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request GET /. Reason: Error reading from remote server Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at download.slicer.org Port 80 Thanks

Thanks for reporting. Until the issue is resolved, you can use these direct download links: Download stable version (Slicer-4.8.1): Windows MacOSX Linux Download latest nightly version (Slicer-4.9.x): Windows MacOSX Linux

Thanks a lot! That was a fast reply  I hope your software is as good as the forums, hehe Have a nice day ;^)

Andras @lassoan , Michael @mhalle, Marianna, Please see https://discourse.equality-tech.com/t/uncomitted-direct-changes-to-slicer-org-homepage-block-web-edits-via-github/195 I want to be sure that the slicer.org homepage is correct and up-to-date. Thanks, Greg @freephile

It is down again. What can we do to improve robustness?

Thanks The latest nightlies can directly be downloaded using these links: linux: http://slicer.kitware.com/midas3/download/item/343159/Slicer-4.9.0-2018-02-08-linux-amd64.tar.gz macOS: http://slicer.kitware.com/midas3/download/item/343974/Slicer-4.9.0-2018-02-11-macosx-amd64.dmg windows: http://slicer.kitware.com/midas3/download/item/343973/Slicer-4.9.0-2018-02-11-win-amd64.exe Note that since an error preventing the linux build from completing was just fixed, the latest linux installed from is only from Feb 8th.

The download.slicer.org site is back again. I haven’t heard why it was down or plans to make it more stable.
