"Editable Area" for segmentation on multiple aspects does not work as intended

I’ve been founding out that masking(Editable Area) is not working for multiple aspects.

  1. Adjusting models from “grow from seed” using Paint tool:
    1. When clicking Editable Area - Inside , I’m not able to Paint anything Video for 1.1 paint tool masking
  2. Adjusting models from “grow from seed” using Margin tool:
    1. Asked on another post: Margin Tool does not change anything
  3. After applying model from “grow from seed”, using scissors tool to edit the model
    1. Even though I select Editable Area - Inside , scissors tool still cut out of the mask all the way to “infinity”.

These bugs seem to be related, so I just want to bring them to attention. What would be a solution for me in the future when I need the masking functionality? In the post for bullet 2 I see “Python approach”, would that be a universal solution?
