How can I reduce the file size of my STL in the slicer?

Hello everyone,

I have only recently started working with the 3D slicer and my aim is to edit my STL of a Sheffield test head. The test head is to be 3D printed and my current problem is that my generated STL is still 2.5 GB in size. I would like to coarsen the STL so that my file size is as small as possible.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything suitable among all the tools in the Segment Editor that helped me.

I would be pleased to receive feedback/help.

You can use the options in the Surface Toolbox module (decimate and/or remesh)
