How to hide series name from slice viewer?

Operating system: Windows 7
Slicer version: 4.9.0

When I load a series, the series name is displayed in the lower-left corner of any display window. Example: “B: head_ct”. How do I hide this display? Have combed through keyboard shortcuts, preferences, and extensions and cannot find a way to hide it.

This is an issue when taking screenshots as the label is present in the screen capture also.

You can configure slice view annotations in DataProbe module.

It is difficult to find, so we’ll probably find a better place for it in Slicer5.

Great - I’ll look there. Thanks again.

Hi Andras,

Is there a simple way to do this programmatically?

You can disable slice view annotations as shown in the example in script repository.

It took me some time to find it in the GUI… in case anyone is also searching for this option, please see attached a screenshot of Slicer 5.3 about the option (Quantification->DataProbe and there are checkboxes in the Corner Text Annotation section) :
