Is there a way I can get the .ui file(s) for the existing interface so that I can experiment with changes on it?
Here is the ribbon simulation with Slicer Designer and buttons. I would need to get the icons.

Thanks to all the development efforts of @jamesobutler and feedback from the community, the new, more space-efficient Segment Editor user interface is now ready (available in latest Slicer Preview Release).
