Excellent - very good thought. I’ve been trying to nag/threaten/bribe the help list to re-activate searchable archives for these lists but with no avail.
I went ahead and signed up and started archives for slicer-devel and slicer-users. We can see how it goes.

I don’t know if you know about Nabble (http://www.nabble.com/), but
this seems like an easy way to index and archive Slicer lists for
better visibility in the community and ease of use.
