Breast PET/CT segmentation

I am writing to kindly request your guidance and support in learning segmentation techniques step by step, as I am currently working on a research project entitled:

“PET/CT Predicting Treatment Response of Breast Cancer Using 3D Slicer.”

I would like to gain a clear and systematic understanding of how to perform segmentation using 3D Slicer, including the appropriate tools, settings, and recommended scientific practices. This knowledge is essential for accurately analyzing PET/CT images and evaluating treatment response in breast cancer patients.

I would be very grateful for any assistance, guidance, or recommended learning resources that could help me improve my skills and complete this research project.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I truly appreciate your consideration.

Yours sincerely,

Hi and welcome - you can definitely do that work in 3D Slicer. A good strategy would be to review the tutorials (start at slicer.org) and get familiar with the basic visualization options of the software using the sample data. Then you can try loading and viewing your data. You can then try some of the segmentation and quantification tutorials and tools. Be sure to leverage the latest generations of chatbots, as they can be very good at helping you understand the program and documentation. This forum is good for getting help with specific questions, which are usually possible for us to answer if you provide some screenshots to indicate what you have tried, what you expected, and what you got instead.
